Brightening care

Evening out a complexion is not a one-week job. Dark spots and darker areas settled in slowly, and they fade slowly. The six products gathered here work in that direction, with no promise of an instant result: what changes skin colour quickly rarely does it any favours.

On the face, order matters. The apricot kernel scrub lifts the dead cells that dull the complexion, once or twice a week. The niacinamide and Dermawhite toner then preps the skin and works on evenness, morning and evening. The Dermawhite cream takes over daily, and the clay and nila mask — the traditional Moroccan ingredient known for radiance — purifies once a week.

For the body and friction-prone areas — underarms, inner thighs, the intimate area — the very fine-grain exfoliant is used once or twice a week only, and preps the skin for the cream. Both are for external use only. And whatever the routine, keeping the areas you want to lighten out of the sun changes the outcome more than any product does.

Frequently asked questions

How long before you see a difference?
Allow several weeks of regular use, morning and evening. Brightening care works gradually: a product that changes a complexion in days is acting on something other than melanin, and rarely for the better.
Can the face cream be used on intimate areas?
No. The body and intimate area brightening cream is made for thinner, more reactive skin and is for external use only. The Dermawhite cream is intended for the face.
When should you see a doctor instead?
If a spot changes shape, colour or size, if it itches or bleeds, or if spots appear suddenly with no clear cause, see a dermatologist. Cosmetic care is not a substitute for medical advice.
