An Oily Skin Routine, Step by Step

Oily skin does not need more products, it needs a clear routine. Four simple steps to balanced skin without the shine.

An Oily Skin Routine, Step by Step

Oily skin is widely misunderstood. Many people think the answer is to strip it with strong products, but that makes things worse: the skin feels dry and produces even more oil to compensate. The real answer is balance, not dryness.

Why skin turns oily

The sebaceous glands naturally produce sebum to protect and moisturise the skin. In some people that production runs higher because of hormones, genetics or even the weather. The goal is not to stop it, but to regulate it.

The routine: only four steps

Step one, cleanse gently morning and evening. A cleansing gel with azebiol removes excess sebum and impurities without over-drying.

Step two, tone straight after cleansing. A niacinamide and azebiol toner helps regulate oil production and visibly tighten pores.

  • Exfoliate once or twice a week only, never daily, or you will irritate the skin.
  • Moisturising is not optional, even for oily skin: it is what prevents the overproduction that dryness triggers.
  • Avoid touching your face through the day, which moves oil and bacteria from your hands to your skin.
Balanced oily skin beats skin stripped dry.

Steps three and four: moisturise and exfoliate

A light regulating cream hydrates without leaving a greasy film or extra shine, and it is necessary even on oily skin.

The weekly scrub clears the pores and lifts the dead cells that block them and feed breakouts.

Results usually show between three and six weeks. What matters most is staying with the same routine rather than changing it constantly, because skin needs time to adjust to anything new.
